I was asked this morning if I would sign a petition against cluster bombs. I declined. It seemed a bit like asking me if I was against rape, or crushing someone's head against a sidewalk (it was in America). Should I have to state the obvious? That killing innocent people in massive numbers is wrong, and that I would choose against it? If I am wrong then please let me know so that I can go back and apologise to the pretty brunette that posed me this problem.
That's a good point! I've never thought of that before. I might steal that observation and use it to make myself seem cool...
Actually, I just thought that maybe you should have signed it. If no-one signs that one, there's probably going to be a few nutcases who sign a pro-cluster bombs petition. Then the government will have to cave to public opinion and make cluster bombs compulsory in all schools and ambulances.
